Parliament adopted positions on new EU laws and resolutions, covering digital currency, human rights crises, and tax policy, with most items passed by large majorities.

• Establishment of the digital euro: Parliament backed the law creating a digital euro, a central bank currency for retail payments, complementing cash and reducing reliance on non-European providers. The Left, Greens, S&D, Renew and EPP supported it; ECR, Patriots and ESN opposed.
• Digital euro services by non-euro area providers: Parliament adopted its position on rules allowing payment providers in non-euro member states to offer digital euro services, amending a 2021 regulation. The proposal now goes to the Council and national parliaments.
• War crimes and human rights in El-Obeid, Sudan: Parliament condemned escalating violence in El-Obeid, demanding the Rapid Support Forces halt their offensive and all parties stop attacking civilians. It called for humanitarian access, investigations, and targeted EU measures. Most groups backed it; Patriots mostly abstained.
• Persecution of Christians in Nigeria: Parliament condemned the Kawel village massacre and ongoing persecution, urging Nigeria to investigate and prosecute those responsible and reinforce counter-terrorism. S&D, Renew, EPP, ECR, Patriots and ESN backed it; The Left and Greens mostly abstained.
• Feasibility of a 28th tax regime: Parliament adopted a resolution on an optional corporate tax framework for innovative firms to reduce fragmentation and support competitiveness. Greens, S&D, Renew and EPP backed it; The Left, ECR, Patriots and ESN opposed.
