The Commission adopted a delegated regulation that changes the definition of prohibited weapons used to decide which companies can be excluded from EU Paris-aligned Benchmarks and EU Climate Transition Benchmarks.

Parliament rejected its own objection, so the Commission measure goes ahead and the new definition applies.

The objection had asked Parliament to block the delegated regulation and to call on the Commission to submit a new delegated act excluding companies active in nuclear weapons, depleted uranium and certain weapons covered by the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons.
