Takes the view that the European Investment Bank’s primary objectives should be the promotion of economic, social and territorial cohesion, and that its funding should be directed, as a matter of priority, towards public investment and projects that meet the needs of the people and the development priorities laid down by each Member State, including support for the productive economy, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, the promotion of full employment and the creation of jobs with rights, the strengthening and modernisation of public services – particularly in the health, education and transport sectors – support for and promotion of social facilities such as creches, care homes and support infrastructure for people with disabilities, public housing, as well as the promotion of Member States’ energy sovereignty; takes the view, to that end, that the EIB’s activities must not be subordinated to the logic of so-called ‘competitiveness’ and the transfer and concentration of resources towards economic conglomerates, nor must they be diverted towards the financing of militarisation; |
